I took over management of Darcy Financial Planning’s website around two years ago, working closely with Sally (a long-term client) to ensure a seamless handover. The brief was clear: preserve the brand identity already in place while refining the technical structure, improving layout consistency and ensuring the site remained secure, fast and reliable.
Using WordPress as the base platform, I rebuilt sections of the site carefully, working within the existing design guidelines and approval processes set by Sally and the wider business. This included optimising page layouts, improving mobile responsiveness and ensuring compliance standards were respected — essential for businesses operating in the financial services sector.
Alongside the technical work, I now manage secure, UK-based hosting for the site, as well as regular plugin and system updates to maintain performance and security. I also provide ad-hoc digital support whenever Sally or the business needs changes, troubleshooting or compliance updates.
This project reflects my ability to step into complex website environments, work respectfully within client processes, and deliver a robust, professional digital platform that supports ongoing business needs without stress or disruption.
