I rebuilt the site from scratch on WordPress. Gemma had a clear idea of what she wanted: something that reflected her approach as a lifestyle financial adviser, rather than the standard financial services look that her previous setup imposed on her. That meant building something distinctive while staying firmly within FCA requirements.
Compliance is not optional in financial services, and it shaped a significant part of the build. The site includes the specific wording and disclosures required for a regulated adviser. Blog posts and articles go through a structured approval process before they go live, handled via a custom plugin built into the site. That means content can be written and prepared without going public until it has been properly signed off. The schema markup uses sameAs to connect the site’s entity to Gemma’s social profiles and, critically, her entry on the FCA register, giving search engines a direct line to an authoritative regulatory source confirming her identity and regulated status.
Alongside the build, I manage hosting and ongoing technical maintenance: regular updates, performance monitoring, and ad-hoc support whenever the business needs changes or compliance updates made.
