The starting point was the brand. Working from their existing logo, I developed a full brand palette and applied it consistently across everything the café uses: posters, signage, stationery, and a set of branded policies for in-store staff.
A significant part of the ongoing work is the café’s printed label range. Staff hand-write the name of each item on labels I design and produce. The labels carry the allergen information required by food labelling law, presented clearly and consistently. For a food business, getting this right is not optional.
The website was built from scratch on WordPress, with structured event listings, menus, booking forms, and content areas for promotions and seasonal updates. Events are marked up with structured data so they appear in Google search results when people look for things to do in Bewdley.
I manage their email, hosting, and marketing materials on an ongoing basis. The site runs on fast, reliable managed UK hosting, kept up to date without the café needing to think about it. A full site refresh is planned for later this year, which I will be handling as part of the ongoing relationship.
